Our Story

Started in 2019. The story goes back further.

Seahorse Amelia started in 2019, but the story goes back a lot further. Our two owners, Melissa Bryant and Jennifer Ceniza, spent decades managing homes and rentals on Amelia Island before they ever put their own name on a sign. Between them that is more than 30 years of knowing which complexes hold up, which owners take care of their properties, and what actually makes a guest want to come back. We started Seahorse because we thought a boutique company could do this better than a big one.

Today

54 homes. Small on purpose.

Today we manage 54 homes and condos across Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island, from oceanfront condos at Amelia by the Sea and Ocean Park to private-pool homes off South Fletcher. We are small on purpose. When you call, you reach the people who know the property, the housekeeper, and the neighborhood. We treat every home like it is our own, and we would rather have a short list of homes we are proud of than a long one we cannot stand behind.

Meet the Owners

Co-Owner

Melissa Bryant

Melissa has managed Amelia Island properties since 2010, first with ERA Fernandina Beach Realty and then at Ketch Courtyard, and she has worked as a travel consultant on the side for nearly as long. She co-founded Seahorse Amelia in 2019. She handles owner relationships and is usually the one making sure a home is ready before you walk in the door.

Jennifer Ceniza

Jennifer spent 17 years as a property manager at ERA Fernandina Beach Realty before co-founding Seahorse Amelia. She holds a business degree from the College of Charleston and knows the Amelia Island rental market about as well as anyone on the island. She leads operations and revenue, which is a formal way of saying she makes sure owners earn well and guests get what they paid for.
